We were going to eat a fancy dinner after she went to bed so we handed her a plate of meatloaf, yellow squash, and cauliflower. She polished it off in FOUR MINUTES.
I seriously thought that was plenty of food. But she whined for more, so we gave her mango.
Then we gave her one of the mini quiches we were eating as an appetizer before our own dinner.
And then we gave her applesauce and cottage cheese when she was still hungry.
And then we just cut her off. I swear she eats so fast her brain can't even keep up with her stomach. The entire meal took only 20 minutes, and that included microwaving, chopping, and listening to her fuss.
This happens every meal. She double-fists all the food, eats it as soon as it hits the tray, and crams fistfuls in her mouth, whining for more before she's even done with what she has. Daddy found a squash clenched in her hand while he was feeding her the applesauce.
She acts like every meal is her last.

I really hope she likes me when we meet b/c all I want to do is hold her for hours and make her giggle. Do you think if I put a cupcake or 12 in my purse that will make me more attractive as a friend to her??
ReplyDeleteIs she growing really fast?! Actually, both of mine were a lot like this. Especially the 2nd one. And they are Amazons, especially the 2nd one.
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, lately the 10 yr old has been like this. The difference is she can get up from the table and go get her own food.
